How to download software with Netscape for Windows 95 |

The following instructions will help you to download software from the Internet with Netscape for Windows 95.
After clicking on the software piece you wish to download, your current browser will display a Save As box on your screen. Your computer will prompt you for where you would like to save the file , write down the name of the file and the location you are saving it into, you need to know this to install the software on your computer. Then click on Save. It is recommended to save programs in your C:\temp directory to make it easier to find your downloaded files. |

After choosing Save you will see a screen similar to the one below, this tells you that your computer is downloading the file, please be patient this might take some time depending on the speed of your modem. While downloading, you will see a blue bar gradually moving upward, this is the indicator to tell you how far along your download has come. |

When the file is done downloading, you must find the file on your computer (Win 95 users should use Windows Explorer ). Double click on the filename after you have found it to begin the installation. Win 95 users note that the program will install automatically on your computer after double clicking on the filename. You will just need to follow the prompts from the installation program to continue.
